Investor relations for African fund managers

Seen from afar.

Mosi Advisory helps African fund managers become visible, credible and ready for European investors. We bring institutional investor relations expertise to managers preparing to raise capital in Europe.

Built on over 15 years in institutional markets across Africa and Europe, including Castlelake, PIMCO, UBS and Credit Suisse Asset Management.

Most first meetings don't fail on strategy.

They fail on materials, process and preparation. European family offices, pensions, insurers and wealth platforms are increasingly open to African private markets, but they hold new managers to the same standard as global incumbents.

Materials that answer the question first

Pitch book, DDQ and data room built around what European allocators and consultants look for.

A clear route into Europe

Approach

From first review to first meeting

  1. Diagnose

We review your materials, structure and team against European allocator expectations.

  2. Refine

We sharpen your story, documents and data room so nothing gives an investor reason to pause.

  3. Target

We identify the investors that fit your stage and strategy, and plan the sequence.

  4. Prepare

We ready your team for meetings and for operational and investment due diligence.

How we engage

Built for African managers

For managers investing in African private credit and private equity, and for international firms allocating into African markets.

Bounded, transparent mandates

Each engagement has a written scope, a defined monthly capacity and a clear list of outputs, so fractional IR stays manageable for both sides.

Investor relations, not placement

Our work covers materials, process and investor servicing. We do not solicit investors, arrange transactions or charge success-based fees.

Working alongside your team

We coordinate content and workflows. Your investment, finance and legal teams remain responsible for data, investment claims and formal documentation.

Why Mosi

Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders.

Mosi-oa-Tunya is the original name of Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Its spray can be seen from many kilometres away.

That is what we help African managers achieve: to be seen and understood clearly by investors far from home. Like the bridge that spans the gorge, we help close the gap between two sides, so African managers can meet European investors with a shared language and standard.

And we believe managers should be presented on their own terms. Our clients don't need to become something else to succeed in Europe. They need to be prepared, and presented to an institutional standard.

Who we work with

Managers serious about investor relations

For managers who need institutional investor relations but are not yet ready for a full-time senior IR hire.

  • Africa-focused or Africa-inclusive private credit and private equity strategies
  • An active or upcoming fundraise, or a growing institutional LP base
  • Founders or CIOs currently carrying most of the investor relations workload

Recent work

Private credit manager: fundraising readiness

  • Reframed the strategy narrative for institutional LPs
  • Structured an ILPA-style DDQ answer bank
  • Created an investor pipeline and follow-up workflow

About

Batsi Kashora, founder

Batsi has over 15 years of experience working with institutional investors across private credit, fixed income and multi-asset strategies. At Castlelake, she helped the firm establish its investor relationships across EMEA as it grew its presence in the region. Before that, she worked with investors across Europe's main financial centres at Credit Suisse and UBS Asset Management, and covered UK and Irish pension funds, insurers and consultants at PIMCO.

Batsi grew up and studied in Zimbabwe and spent half of her career in South Africa before moving to Europe, where she has worked for almost a decade. She has seen European distribution from the inside: how each type of investor buys, and how consultants, pension funds, insurers, private banks, wealth platforms and family offices diligence a new manager. She founded Mosi to bring that understanding to African managers, so they can meet European investors with the same standard of preparation that global managers bring.
